- Abstract
The article presents information on effects on wound healing of hydroxyapatite collagen complex implants in periodontal osseous defects in the dog. Collagen accelerates the regeneration of cementum and bone. It was also reported that grafting of tricalciurn phosphate combined with collagen was clinically able to prevent postoperative gingival recession. Periodontitis was then induced by feeding the dogs with a sucrose-containing soft food diet.
