Uso do zolpidem para controle de ansiedade odontológica em cirurgia de terceiros molares: estudo clínico.

- Abstract
Introdução: Estudos demonstram que as extrações dentárias estão entre os cinco procedimentos mais temidos pelos pacientes ansiosos. Um dos principais gatilhos de ansiedade nos pacientes são os procedimentos cirúrgicos. Um método para controlar ela é com protocolos medicamentosos. Objetivos: Avaliar o desempenho do Zolpidem para controle do nível de ansiedade durante exodontias de terceiros molares comparado ao Midazolam e Placebo. Material e método: 30 pacientes, entre 16 e 35 anos, sem comorbidades, com indicação de exodontia de terceiros molares, foram divididos em 3 grupos (n=10): Placebo (PLA); Midazolam (MID) e Zolpidem (ZOL). Os pacientes foram medicados 30 minutos antes da cirurgia e os questionários aplicados no pré e pós-operatório de acordo com escalas de ansiedade: Corah, MDAS e HAD. Além disso, foram submetidos a mensuração pré, trans e pós-operatória de frequência cardíaca (FC), pressão arterial (PA) e saturação sanguínea de oxigênio (SpO2). Resultados: Os dados foram submetidos à análise estatística, com nível de significância de 5%. Os questionários não mostraram diferença estatística entre os grupos, enquanto que, o grupo ZOL apresentou maior FC com diferença estatística comparado aos grupos PLA e MID, e entre esses, o PLA obteve menores dados. Quanto a PA sistólica ZOL apresentou os maiores valores em comparação aos demais, com diferença estatística entre MID e PAS, enquanto que o grupo MID obteve menores valores em relação aos demais. Para a diastólica o grupo MID apresentou menores dados com diferença estatística. Por fim, a SpO2 não mostrou diferença estatística entre os grupos. Conclusão: Conclui-se que o Midazolam oferece resultados mais expressivos de ansiólise em exodontias de terceiros molares.
