- Abstract
The article provides an overview of the registration of Millhouse barley, a spring food barley cultivar which was developed at the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Research Centre and was registered on May 19, 2006. The variety was derived from the cross 'CDC Silky'//Brandon CC 080/BT 356/3/'Nordic'. It is a Composite-Cross two-rowed line from five cycles of male-sterile derived recurrent selection. Details on yield and agronomic traits, breeding conditions and method, maintenance, and growth habits are presented.
