- Abstract
The article presents the Chapter XIII of the book "Year's Work in English Studies" which discusses the cultural studies and Victorian prose in the 19th century of the Victorian period. It explores the book of Peter Melville Logan entitled "Nerves and Narratives: A Cultural History of Hysteria in 19th Century British Prose" that explore the role of the body in Victorian prose narratives. It mentions the work of Ian Bradley entitled "Abide With Me: The World of Victorian Hymns" which is about cultural, theological, and literary perspectives of the Victorian hymn.
