- Title
Influence of removal sampling of small mammals on abundance and diversity attributes: scientific implications.
- Authors
SULLIVAN, THOMAS R.; SULLIVAN, DRUSCILLA S.
- Abstract
The article presents a study on the impacts of the removal trapping of small mammals on the diversity and abundance factors of the populations. The study estimated abundance using Jolly-Seber (J-S) stochastic models, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and Duncan's multiple-range tests (DMRT). Results show that species diversity and richness of small mammal populations should be identified as disrupted communities or populations.
