- Abstract
The article comments on a study by John Rogers and colleagues on single-walled nanotubes (SWNT). SWNTs are noted to be an excellent candidate material for high-performance electronics but production methods create a mixture of semiconducting and metallic nanotubes. Rogers' team report an innovative solution, which involves growing arrays of nanotubes on a crystalline quartz substrate to make electronic devices. The author claims that the method represents a major step in nanotube electronics.
