- Abstract
The article examines the probability of spontaneous disc regression of lumbar herniated disc using a systematic review. It mentions the rate of spontaneous regression for disc sequestration, disc bulging, and disc extrusion. It notes that through conservative treatment, spontaneous regression of herniated disc tissue can be resolved. It also emphasizes the higher possibility of patients with disc extrusion and sequestration for having spontaneous regression than those with bulging discs.
