- Abstract
The grab's underwater three-dimensional positioning of a large-scale grab ship is a technical difficulty. We compared and studied several positioning methods, finally selected the ultrashort baseline acoustic system (USBL) for the grab's underwater positioning. We introduced the adaptive reconstructions of the system, and analyzed the key factors in the equipment's model, installation position, installation method, and the system's using process that impact on the positional accuracy, and put forward the methods to decrease the errors.
