- Title
Designing nanoparticle treatment of autoimmunity with quantitative biology.
- Authors
Schnell, Santiago; Pietropaolo, Massimo
- Abstract
The authors discuss aspects of the mathematical model presented by J. Sugarman and colleagues on the use of a peptide-major histocompatibility complex (pMHC)-nanoparticle (NP)-based therapy for the treatment of Type 1 diabetes (T1D). They cite the utilization of the NP in understanding and optimizing the treatment situations in the non-obese diabetic (NOD) mice. Moreover, the authors explore the discovery of Sugarman and colleagues on autoimmunity treatment with quantitative biology.
