- Abstract
The author discusses the safety considerations in the laboratory testing of specimens suspected or known to contain Ebola virus. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offered an interim guideline followed by a supplemental document for how U.S. laboratories could safely manage specimens from persons under investigation (PUI) for Ebola virus disease (EVD).
