- Abstract
The article describes the case of an adolescent presented with complaints of recurring episodes of sudden loss of power of all the limbs lasting for a few seconds and progressive difficulty in cycling for the past 4 months. Topics covered include a diagnosis of Morquio syndrome with compressive myelopathy due to atlantoaxial instabiliity, spine stabilization surgery planned for the patient and the treatment of cervical fixation by fusing the vertebrae to stabilize the atlantoaxial joint.
