- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which examines the diet composition of Natrix tessellata or semiaquatic snakes. Topics discussed include the description of the study site, the extraordinarily large prey observed in the diet of the snake, such as Carasius auratus and Rutilus rutilus, and the ability of female Natrix to consume larger prey for more energy especially during vitellogenesis.
