The article focuses on a study related to determination of role of transglutaminase 3 (TG3) in dermatitis herpetiformis (DH). Topics discussed include colocalization of TG3 with immunoglobulin A, crucial role of TG2 in pathogenesis celiac disease by forming antigenic gliadin-TG2 complexes and necessity of Langerhans cell induction of antigen specific anti-viral and anti-tumor activity.
