- Title
Family-centred research: what does it mean and can we do it?
- Authors
ROSENBAUM, PETER
- Abstract
The author comments on the significance of family-centered research (FCS) and how could it be undertaken in child health services especially in children with neurodevelopmental disorders. He believes that aside from helping researchers how best to recruit people to a study, families reminded researchers of the need to be transparent and explicit as possible of their commitment to the research at the consent stage. The author also thinks that the challenges of involving disabled children in research should also be addressed.
