- Abstract
The authors reflect on the management evolution of laryngeal neuroendocrine neoplasms. They say that immunohistochemistry is an important diagnostic tool to assess tumors and neuroendocrine differentiation while surgical resection is the best treatment for larynx carcinoid. An overview of the therapeutic protocol for laryngeal small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma is offered. They also underscore the need to develop effective systematic treatment of the said disease.
