- Abstract
The article discusses a study which identified the possible diagnostic correlations between neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and a systemic immune inflammation index (SII) in patients with idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss (ISSNHL). Topics include several identifiable causes of SSNHL such as autoimmune inner ear diseases, the role of SII as predictor of survival in cancer patients and the use of corticosteroid therapy to treat ISSNHL.
