- Abstract
The article presents a case study a 17-year-old boy with tonsillitis who was presented to the emergency department with a persistent sore throat, dysphonia, snoring, and a globus sensation. He underwent an urgent transoral excision biopsy of the left parapharyngeal space mass and a bilateral tonsillectomy. A diagnosis of synovial sarcoma confirmed after histology of the mass and the tonsil reveals the presence of epithelioid and sarcomatoid elements consistent with a biphasic tumor.
