- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 14 year old female presented to rheumatology clinic with diffuse intermittent musculoskeletal pain that lasted for 4 months with the pains affecting her bilateral shoulders and legs, neck and back. She was diagnosed with Hashimoto thyroididtis following an endocrine evaluation by a pediatric endocrinologist. Treatment for juvenile fibromyalgia centers on a psychological approach that combines cognitive behavior therapy with low-intensity exercises.
