- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 32-year-old pregnant woman without relevant medical history presented at delivery with renal failure, thrombocytopenia. She developed severe bleeding after caesarian section that forced hysterectomy along with the observation of interstitial pattern up to middle lung fields in the chest radiography leading to mechanical ventilation. It illustrates the need of Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) as a cause of Methylthioadenosine (MTA) in pregnancy.
