- Abstract
The article discusses the results of a study suggesting that activating transcription factor 5 (ATF5), a stress response transcription factor of the cAMP-responsive element-binding/ATF family, plays a vital role in mouse olfactory bulb (OB) development via interneuron. Topics mentioned include generation of ATF5-deficient mice, abnormal morphology of the OB in ATF5-/- mice, and disorganized projection neurons of the mitral cell layer in ATF5-/- mice.
