- Abstract
This article analyzes the quality of police service in Netherlands and its relationship with citizens' appreciation and trust. The implementation of community policing has effects on the relationship between police and citizens and for the concept of the quality of police service. The impact of community policing on public perceptions are related to police authority. To improve police service, the Dutch model for police quality was developed in 1994.
