- Title
Predicting Cesarean Delivery Following Induction.
- Authors
Tolcher, Mary Catherine
- Abstract
The article discusses a study by V. Danilack and colleagues, published within the issue, which evaluated variables known at the time of induction planning, before the actual induction admission, using a large sample size from U.S. hospitals. Topics covered include ways accurately predicting the risk of cesarean after induction could be useful, variables in the final predictive model for nonmedically indicated term inductions, and importance of the ability to predict an individualized outcome.
