- Abstract
The article discusses the unpublished manuscripts of dissenting author and preacher John Bunyan, left to his widow Elizabeth upon his death in 1688, and thenceforth given into the care of Southwark, England bookseller Charles Doe upon Elizabeth's death in 1691. Doe published the twelve manuscript works in folio along with ten previously published works of Bunyan in 1692. Other subjects considered include the copyright of "The Pilgrim's Progress," the Baptist community in early modern England, and Doe's collection of accounts of miraculous cures.
