- Authors
Grossi, Jr, Joseph L.
- Abstract
The article critiques the depiction of King Arthur in the anonymous work "Morte Arthure," particularly focusing on the subversion of Arthurian chivalry and criticizing Arthur himself. It addresses the Arthur character's response to the plea of defeated Roman senators, the interpretation of response as a sign of arrogance and spiritual degradation, and the laudability of the conduct of Arthur in terms of English law and diplomacy.
