- Title
The Adaptive Acquisition Framework: Better, Faster, More Tailored.
- Abstract
The Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF) is a new policy in defense acquisition that encourages program managers to tailor their approach to delivering capability. It allows for more rapid delivery of systems and services to the Warfighter by delegating decision-making down to program offices and reducing bureaucratic delays. The AAF has been well-received by the workforce, and resources such as the AAF website have been provided to help them understand and apply the framework. The Services have been involved in the development and implementation of the AAF, and the long-term impact is expected to be more successful programs that can deliver capability faster and more effectively. The policy will continue to evolve and be updated based on feedback and changes in defense strategy.
