- Abstract
Objective Tomeasuretheelectrical impedance spectrum properties of normal brain tissue (gray and white matters) and stroke tissue (hemorrhagic and ischemia tissue) in order to provide reliable data support for studying stroke detection using multi -frequency electrical impedance tomography (EIT). Methods First,therabbitcerebral hemorrhage model and ischemia model were established using autologous blood injection and photochemical induction, respectively; second, the impedance spectra ofwhite matter, gray matter, hemorrhagic tissue and ischemic tissue within 15 min after animal death at frequencies from 10 Hz to 1 MHz were measured; third, the difference in impedance spectra between normal brain tissue and stroke tissue was compared^ ^Mults There was a significant difference in the impedance spectra between normal brain tissue and stroke tissue throughout the frequency band (within 10 Hz-1 MHz, the conductivity difference was greater than 10%); the impedance change with frequency between the two kinds of stroke tissues were also significantly different (below 100 kHz, the conductivity ofthe hemorrhagic tissue remained almost unchanged while the conductivity ofthe ischemic tissue increased linearly. Conclusion This study further confirms the feasibility of using multi -frequency EITto detect stroke from the perspective of tissue impedance spectrum property and lays a solid data foundation for future study of stroke detection using multi-frequency EIT.
