- Abstract
A comparative organoleptic consumer assessment of drinking milk from organic and conventional production was made in the paper. The research covered 5 samples of drinking milk available on the market, i.e. two from organic production and three from conventional one. The assessment was carried out among 120 people. Comparing the evaluated organic and conventional milk, it was shown that both groups received the same overall rating, i.e. 3.9 points/5 points max. Organic milk was rated higher for colour (4.4 points) and aroma (3.7 points) while conventional products for flavour (3.7 points) and consistency (4.2 points). The highest overall rating (4.0 points) was given to pasteurized milk from Jasienica Rosielna. It should be noted that organic and conventional products have proved to be comparable in terms of organoleptic quality. This should be considered as a satisfactory result, and it testifies to the full acceptance of the organic product, i.e. organic milk.
