- Authors
Mong, Derek
- Abstract
An essay is presented that offers poetry criticism of the four-volume work "Radi os," by Ronald Johnson, which is an erasure of the epic poem "Paradise Lost," by John Milton. Topics include Johnson's authorship of cookbooks, the film "Orphée," directed by Jean Cocteau, and Johnson's move from Kansas to San Francisco, California as a gay man. The role of metaphors in the poem is addressed. The work is discussed as an American poem.
