- Title
Creatures against the Law: Blake's Antinomian Renderings of Paul.
- Authors
Mueller, Judith C.
- Abstract
The article analyzes the poetic interpretation of William Blake on "The Universal Groan," which suggests that the concession of creature-hood to all things, while "radically antinomian" from certain Christian views, may also be controlling, "textualizing" impulse. The momentum is described to be a placement of non-human phenomena within the human context of divine salvation.
