- Abstract
In the 21st century, we see that there are still attitudes of educators who cling to traditional pedagogy, disregarding the evolution of fundamental elements of Didactics in relation to the demands of contemporaneity. Often, we see great difficulty on the part of the teachers to use the Didactics as a mediator of their teaching practice, either by the lack of technical resources or by accommodation and demotivation. This article aims to reflect on the didactic actions and their theoretical and practical implications to the process of teaching and learning. This is a study with a qualitative approach and which uses bibliographic research as a source of data. The conclusion of the paper is that Didactics is a fundamental discipline in teacher training and its pedagogical practice leads to appreciation and commitment of the teacher as an educator. Indeed, it is urgent that the theory and teaching practice are narrowed in order to provide a meaningful teaching and learning.
