- Title
P9‐52: Mouthpiece for pressurized metered‐dose inhaler (PMDI) to assist in correct inhalation technique.
- Abstract
1 Department of Respiratory Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Nihon University Schoo... B Background b : It has been reported that the position of the tongue in the mouth is very important to deliver enough medication into the airway. B Conclusions b : The use of a new mouthpiece for pMDI with an angled inhaler keeps the tongue in a lower position and has a noticeable effect of widening the area of the posterior wall of the pharynx. When the mouthpiece lowers the position of the tongue, the area of the posterior wall of the pharynx becomes larger, making it more suitable for inhalation therapy inhalation treatments.
