- Abstract
The great phenotypic variability in color and morphology between patients can also be observed here [Colour figure can be viewed at wileyonlinelibrary.com] gl Although TA is usually located on the trunk or extremities, in our series, we have detected a higher incidence in the face. TA presented a segmental distribution pattern in nine of 12 (75%) patients of our series and three of 12 (25%) patients with facial TA presented a KMP. Dear Editor, Tufted angioma (TA) is a benign tumor generally located on the trunk or the cervicofacial area.1 Approximately 10% of TA develop the Kasabach-Merritt phenomenon (KMP), a life-threatening coagulopathy in association with a rapidly enlarging tumor.
