- Abstract
The article discusses the risk of premature cardiovascular disease (CVD), for patients with chronic inflammatory rheumatic conditions. It informs that patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), are at high risks of developing CVDs including hypertension, dyslipidemia, and diabetes. It further reports that CVD morbidity increases in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and spondyloarthritis. Management of the risk of CVDs in populations with inflammatory disease is also discussed.
