Making trade fair.

- Abstract
The article focuses on the benefits gained by farmers and producers from the Fairtrade Mark. The Fairtrade Mark verifies the compliance of a producer with an exacting set of standards including fair price, budget for community projects and long-term trading. Though the Fairtrade cannot guarantee improved net household income, economists believe that it helps economic development especially in providing the citizens of developing countries the opportunity to build sustainable livelihoods.
