- Abstract
Investigates whether drug-antidote pairs could be rationally designed by taking advantage of properties inherent to nucleic acids to make antidote-controlled anticoagulant agents. Potency of the protein-binding oligonucleotides against coagulation factor IXa; Ability of oligonucleotides complementary to the aptamers to act as antidotes capable of efficiently reversing the activity of the anticoagulants.
