- Abstract
The article presents a study which deals with the genetic characterization of highly pathogenic Avian Influenza A (H5N6) virus in Guangdong, China. Topics include first detection of the influenza A (H5N1) virus in geese in China during 1996, HA gene phylogeny to confirm the group of virus, and highest nucleotide identity found in hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) genes.
