- Abstract
The author discusses the Uhthoff phenomenon of multiple sclerosis (MS) or the worsening of MS's neurologic symptoms. The author mentions several studies related to Unthoff phenomenon which include marked impairment among MS patients' cervical somatosensory evoked potential, the impact of increasing temperature on MS patients, and the characteristics of demyelinated axons among MS patients such as heat-triggered conduction delay.
