- Abstract
The article features "Flower Still Life," a painting by the Dutch Golden Age painter Maria van Oosterwijck. The painting depicts red and white peppermint-striped tulips and carnations, as well as a dragonfly along with butterflies which seemed attracted to the flowers. Information is also presented on van Oosterwick, who achieved success as a painter in the 1600s.
