- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of a study to determine the mechanical and flame retardant characteristics of rubber montmorillonite (MMT) nanocomposites and rubber/MMT microcomposites. It notes the use of testing methods like the Cone calorimeter and limiting oxygen index for flame retardance analysis. The research reveals that the highest flame retardant and mechanical properties were evident in rubber/MMT nanocomposites.
