Presents a study that described the cloning of the Stevia circular DNA, encoding 1-deoxy-D-xylulose-5-phosphate synthase (DXS) and 1-deoxy-D-xylulose-5-phosphate reductoisomerase (DXR), which catalyze the first two steps of the methyl-D-erythritol 4-phosphate pathway. Plant material and total RNA isolation; Circular DNA cloning and analysis; Escherichia coli complementation assay of DXS and DXR.
