- Abstract
The article presents information on the treatment of a 60-year-old patient suffering from primary autoimmune hypothyroidism. As stated, the patient was presented with symptoms of dry, infiltrated pale skin, and thickened voice and was later confirmed with primary autoimmune hypothyroidism. Then a substitution therapy with levothyroxine was started on her and later was sent towards cardiology and was submitted to pericardiotomy as emergency procedure which improved her thyroid hormone levels.
