- Abstract
The article discusses a study which aims to determine whether an intervention based on patient activation and a physician decision support tool is effective for improving adherence to the U.S. National Cholesterol Education Program guidelines. The authors stress on the need for further research on how to use behavioral science and informatics in the primary care setting to improve quality care. They state that these interventions improve cholesterol management in primary care practices.
