- Abstract
Two new coordination polymers, {[Cd2(cpb)2(bpa)(H2O)] ·H2O}( 1) and {[Cd2(bda)2(bpa)2] ·3H2O} ( 2) [H2cpb = 2-(3′-carboxyphenoxy) benzoic and H2bda = 2, 4'-biphenyldicarboxylic acid; bpa = bis(4-pyridyl)amine], were obtained from hydrothermal reactions of Cd2+ ion with two asymmetric dicarboxylic acids and N-donor ligand, respectively. Complex 1 features a two-dimensional (2D) 5-connected SnS topological net with Schläfli symbol (48.62). Complex 2 also shows a 2D structure with 4-connected sql topology with Schläfli symbol (44.62). Furthermore, the photoluminescent properties of 1 and 2 were investigated.
