- Abstract
The article reflects on the career of young life scientists in the U.S. It claims that the increasing competition for academic positions in biology may possibly interrupt students' plan to consider graduate training. It likewise notes on the survey results which reveal the dropping number of academic positions in biology. It notes that the issue of scientific training could be solved if its root problems are addressed efficiently.
