- Abstract
This article focuses on chloroanilines (CA) which are widely used as chemical intermediates in the synthesis of herbicides, azo dyes and pharmaceuticals. They are also degradation products of some herbicides and pesticides. CA may be found in the water environment as contaminant, which bring danger to growth, development and propagation of aquatic organisms, furthermore, potential harm to human being. Free radical formation has been implicated as a contributing factor in the deleterious effects of many environmental pollutants.
