MEDICAL REMEDIES: FROM THE OLD TO THE NEW.
- Authors
Sharp, Philip
- Abstract
The article presents information about medical learning. The 16th century witnessed the shaping of a new world. Man was now able to look, observe, write, study, publish, correspond and pursue a course of thought independently of what others had seen, written and thought. From a Eurocentric point of view, a deep change had taken place and it had begun and developed in Italy, before spreading rapidly to the rest of the world. In the Aztec world, the study of medicinal plants had also occurred, independently of European influence.
