- Abstract
The phenomenon of rapidly increasing real estate prices has evoked talks about the formation of a price bubble in Lithuanian real estate market. Two years ago the growth of residential real estate prices decreased and later a decline of prices was noticeable. The residential real estate prices decline could be considered as a real estate price bubble collapse. The objective of the paper - to evaluate the influence of macroeconomic factors on the variation of real estate prices. The paper analyses the theoretical background of real estate price crises: the understanding of real estate price bubble and reasons influencing real estate price crises. The analysis of statistical data lets to identify the start of real estate price bubble and the period of real estate price decrease. The research made in the paper let to evaluate the influence of macroeconomic factors to the Lithuanian real estate price bubble formation and collapse.
