- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of a study which identified a consensus sequence of prenylated tryptophan residues in ComX oligopeptide pheromone. Researchers noted that defining a consensus sequence is one methodology for detecting the existence of prenylated tryptophan proteins. The researchers also cited the use of in vitro cell-free system to investigate analogs of the ComXRO-E-2 pheromone precursor.
