- Title
REID's TRADITIONOF INQUIRY:A GRATEFULRESPONSETO CUNEO.
- Authors
Davis, William C.
- Abstract
The article addresses all three of Professor Terence Cuneo's concerns about the author's work "Thomas Reid's Ethics: Moral Epistemology on Legal Foundations." Cuneo's concerns were the author's reconstruction of Reid on evidence, his treatment of Reid's moral ontology and his claim that Reid was not a nonnaturalist. The author believes that Cuneo's concerns all arise from a fundamental disagreement with his interpretation of Reid's project.
