- Abstract
The article titled "Volatile Profiling and Free Radical Scavenging Activity of Leaf Essential Oil of Nothopegia castaneifolia" provides information on the chemical composition and biological activities of the essential oil of Nothopegia castaneifolia, a small tree found in India. The essential oil contains various bioactive compounds and exhibits potential antioxidant activity. The analysis identified 44 constituents, with sesquiterpene hydrocarbons being the principal class of compounds. The major compounds found include hexadecanoic acid, germacrene B, phytol, and benzyl salicylate. This study provides valuable insights into the chemical composition and potential biological properties of Nothopegia castaneifolia essential oil.
